Some of my favorite local music is an art-pop band called The Owls (iTunes link). They’re featured tonight on NPR’s All Songs Considered. Cool. They deserve all the attention they can get.

OK, so yeah, I've been very neglectful of this site. Sorry faithful readers, whoever you are. Been a very busy year so far, plus I just got back from vacataion — a beautiful 3 weeks in Australia visiting my mate, Leon. Take a look at some new photos.

This is a story about whether traditional media has more pull or more trust (more readership?) than blogs, or vice versa. Kottke takes a stab at pre-judging a long bet between Martin Niseholtz of the NY Times and Dave Winer of Scripting News, on whether Google will rank stories higher for NYT (traditional media venues) or for blogs (new, social generation media)
